The Equine Tapestry site is dedicated to the subject of equine coat color genetics. Here you will find a range of materials, all written in plain English, that attempt to make the subject more accessible to the average reader. Here you will find information on the Equine Tapestry book and e-books, which look at the history of color in the different breeds of horses, as well as a number of articles on horse color. There is also a link to the companion blog. If you are new to Equine Tapestry, it is a good place to start.

There are also two resource pages that outgrew the blog site, and were moved here to make them easier to use. The first is the Splashed White Project, which is a record of the horses that have been tested for the new splashed white mutations. The second is a collection of resources for learning about genetic diversity. And finally there is a link to the Pinterest boards which have been used to group interesting colors and patterns.

Please browse around and enjoy the site. If you have any questions, I can be reached at [email protected].
