When Tenaja Jordan came out to her parents at 17 years old, they kicked her out of their home. Essential workers who can't do their jobs from home moved into the second stage, instead of focusing on health workers with lower-risk jobs, under the advice given Monday. The second stage is expected to start this spring after the provinces vaccinate all staff and residents at long-term care homes, adults aged 70 or older, front-line health workers and adults in Indigenous communities.
